When you make your purchase, you will be offered cancellation insurance. This insurance allows for all or part of your booking to be reimbursed in the event of bad weather, illness (with a medical certificate), death, or similar circumstances.

EVENTS COVERED BEFORE YOUR STAY

  • Medical and family events:
Illness or death of the professional replacement or the person responsible for caring for your children during the stay. Hospitalization of a family member.
  • Material events:
Burglary, fire, water damage, or weather-related events (excluding natural disasters) affecting your primary or secondary residence, or your farm, requiring your presence on-site during the stay.
Severe damage to your vehicle within 48 hours before your stay.
  • Climatic events:
Lack of snow in the 5 days prior to your stay in resorts situated over 1,500 meters in altitude, provided that at least 2/3 of the ski lifts are closed for at least 2 consecutive days.
  • Professional or study-related events:
If the insured, who is seeking employment, secures a job or a fixed-term contract, or obtains a paid work placement. Redundancy, or being called for an exam.
  • Medical events:
Illness or injury to the insured or a close relative.
  • Family events:
Death of the insured or a close relative.
  • Unforeseen events:
Immediate, real, and serious obstacles preventing departure or participation in planned activities.
A €30 excess applies to each cancellation or modification.

EVENTS COVERED DURING YOUR STAY

  • Medical events:
Illness or injury to the insured person.
  • Family events:
Early return due to the death of the insured person, a close family member, the professional replacement, or the person responsible for caring for children during the stay.
  • Material events:
Burglary, fire, water damage, or weather-related events (excluding natural disasters) affecting the primary or secondary residence, farm, or business premises of the insured, and requiring their presence on-site during the stay.
  • Climatic events:
Lack of snow or bad weather during the insured's stay at resorts located over 1,500 meters in altitude, provided at least 2/3 of the ski lifts are closed for a minimum of 2 consecutive days.
  • Climatic events (extended):
Lack or excess of snow in resorts located over 1,500 meters in altitude, between the 3rd Saturday in December and the 2nd Saturday in April, leading to the closure of at least 2/3 of the ski lifts in operation for more than 5 consecutive hours at the resort where the insured is staying.

INTERRUPTION OF YOUR HOLIDAY DUE TO BAD WEATHER


In the event of a total closure (100%) of the ski area directly accessible with the policyholder's lift pass for 5 consecutive hours during an operating day, we will reimburse your ski lessons. This coverage is limited to a maximum of 4 days per ski lesson session. A day will be considered eligible for compensation under the bad weather cover once the ski lift company provides us with the equipment’s opening and closing times, along with the corresponding weather report.
